IWSD had a Rate Study performed by Public Resources Management Group, Inc.

The presentation was made to the Board on September 14, 2016. The Board voted to approve the recommendations for the new rate increases in water and sewer charges and miscellaneous fees.

The fees will go into effect on November 1, 2016.

    4. Revenues derived from the proposed rates provided herein along with the use of reserves are estimated to be sufficient to meet the annual expenditure needs of the water system through Fiscal Year 2019. The District shall initiate a rate study to review the adequacy of rates beginning in Fiscal Year 2018. To the extent that cash balances are estimated to fall below minimum reserve requirements as established by the District Board, such rate study may be required sooner.


      The table of equivalent dwelling units, Exhibit "B", used in computing system development charges for new water connections shall be the guide for determining the equivalency for Fixed Water Charges under this section and shall prevail unless justification for a lesser charge is accepted by the Board of Commissioners of the IMMOKALEE WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT.
